Peak Climbing

Mera Peak 19 Days

The Mera Peak (6,476m/ 22,242ft) is the highest trekking peak in Nepal situated at the east of Khumbu valley & Mt. Everest. Climbing to Mera Peak is so challenging with great adventure. It is one of the technical trekking Peaks so you should have some climbing or mountaineering experience previously to join with this Itinerary. Mountaineers who plan to go for higher peak climbing above 7000m can start their 1st climbing from Mera peak to gain enough climbing technique & mountaineering experience before heading up for those high peaks. It ranks among the most rewarding peak climbing in Nepal and leads to a true mountaineering experience. Jimmy Roberts and Sen Tenzing made the first successful ascent of Mera Peak on 20 May 1953. The route they used is still the standard route. However there are many other routes crossing over high & difficult passes which lead you to the Base Camp & Summit of Mera Peak. We established a last high camp on the Mera la, a stunning view point before to make a successful summit. The views from the summit are dramatic along with Mt. Everest; the unclimbed south face of Lhotse and Nuptse on the north and Kanchanjunga, chamlang and Maklu on the east.
